Safety
and Security
Creating and maintaining a safe, secure environment for both patients
and visitors is of the utmost importance at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
OLBH has an on-site security force, keeping a watchful eye throughout
the hospital and the hospital campus.
Security officers patrol the various campus buildings, parking structures,
lots and grounds. Officers also are available to escort visitors to and
from their automobiles and to provide assistance to motorists having
vehicle trouble.
The Safety Department takes a proactive stance in preparing the hospital
and community for any potential happenings such as severe weather, natural
disasters, vehicular incidents, community disasters, etc. The department
works with other public service agencies to conduct drills, making sure
that all the needed equipment and personnel are in place to provide appropriate
care quickly and effectively in unusual circumstances.
The Safety Department also works to ensure a safe physical structure,
making sure facilities are well maintained, items are stored properly
and that employees are trained in safety measures.
