A.W.A.K.E. Sleep Apnea Support Group Hosting Free Meeting Dec. 14
The OLBH Sleep Lab is hosting its quarterly support group for individuals with sleep apnea. The free A.W.A.K.E (awake, well and keeping energetic) event takes place Friday, Dec. 14th at noon at Bellefonte Centre (1000 Ashland Drive, 5th Floor Conference Room.)
The event is for individuals who have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and use durable medical equipment at home for the disorder. The guest speaker will be Michelle Wright, CRT, RPSGT. Wright’s topic, “CPAP: Fact & Fiction,” will focus on the facts about CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure), a machine that helps a person who has obstructive sleep apnea breathe more easily during sleep. Lunch will be sponsored by Hallmark Home Health Care.
A.W.A.K.E. is designed as a support for persons that have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and their families.
