Auxiliary Donates $46,000
The OLBH Auxiliary recently presented OLBH officials with $46,000 to benefit hospital programs. The monies were a portion of what the auxiliary had raised from its 2011 activities.
The funds donated by the auxiliary included funding for OLBH’s Meals on Wheels program, the OLBH Foundation’s Good Samaritan Fund, a concussion program for student athletes administered by the Human Motion Vitality Center and for support of the Lifeline units overseen by OLBH. Lifeline is a home-emergency response service that provides seniors assistance in an emergency with a simple push of a button.
“Year after year the OLBH Auxiliary continues to be a loyal and generous supporter of OLBH,” Luann Serey, OLBH director of Community Services, said. “The money the auxiliary donated to better OLBH came from the proceeds of various sales with the majority coming from the operation of the hospital gift shop. The funds go to great causes and benefit many people who I know appreciate the work of our dedicated group of auxilians.”
