OLBH Foundation Launches Donor of the Month Program
The OLBH Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the hospital, has launched a new donor recognition program on its website www.olbhfoundation.org.
The new Donor of the Month feature spotlights a Foundation donor with a feature story detailing the individual’s relationship to the hospital and his/her philanthropic efforts. The inaugural Donor of the Month is Helen Sutton, who for the last six years has donated to the Foundation to support Meals on Wheels. Sutton has raised money for this cause through the sale of homemade candy.
“The Donor of the Month program is really a way we can recognize and show thanks to those individuals whose support allows the OLBH Foundation to even exist,” Chuck Charles, OLBH Foundation vice president said. “We can never do enough to show appreciation to these extraordinary people who give of themselves to benefit others. It’s a generosity of spirit that’s worth sharing with others. Many of these individuals we will be highlighting give their financial support for very specific reasons, and these stories are often very interesting, insightful and even motivational. They are certainly worth sharing and worthy of recognition.”
The Donor of the Month section of the OLBH Foundation website can be accessed here. In addition to this new feature, the OLBH Foundation’s site also offers visitors information on the foundation and its programs, including news, photo galleries, downloadable brochures, newsletters, annual reports, a complete donor listing as well as information on how individuals can join the foundation in its ministry through donations.
The OLBH Foundation's mission is to support the hospital's strategic goals through philanthropy. Funding comes from a variety of sources, including public and private grants, donations (employee and community), planned giving opportunities, and a variety of fundraising events.
The OLBH Foundation is located on the OLBH campus on the fourth floor of Bellefonte Centre (1000 Ashland Drive.) The foundation can be reached by calling (606) 833-3777.
