OLBH’s Healthy Community Services program offers assistance to patients and families dealing with Alzheimer’s disease through the hospital’s free Alzheimer’s support groups. The free support groups offer counseling to understand the disease, how to cope with a diagnosis, home safety techniques, support for the caregiver, how to manage long-distance caregiving and care planning for families. OLBH’s Alzheimer’s program is affiliated with the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
